Lots of babies are fed with at least some infant formula in the first 6 months of life. 1 out of every 6 babies (almost 20%) born to breastfeeding mothers get formula in the first 2 days of life and by 6 months nearly 75% of them have had some. It’s important when using formula that is safely prepared and stored to keep unsafe bacteria from growing and making the baby sick.
